The events take place over 2 days:

august 1 event: Fig scavenger hunt

Part scavenger hunt, part nature walk, and part fig-learning adventure!
Get ready to explore the orchard, trails, waterfront, and woodland paths during the Spruill Farm Fig Quest — a fun, interactive 60-minute map challenge at Spruill Conservation Farm.

Using your event map and Fig Quest Treasure Pouch, participants will navigate throughout the farm in search of 13 hidden Fig Quest checkpoints. Each checkpoint will feature a fig picture, a short narrative about that fig variety, and a fun fig fact to engage your mind and help you learn about the wonderful world of figs.

The goal is simple: visit as many checkpoints as possible within 60 minutes. At each checkpoint, participants will collect One distinctive piece of recycled glass, so every stop adds something unique to their Fig Quest Treasure Pouch.

Participants may walk, jog, or run the course at their own pace while enjoying the beauty of the farm and the Albemarle Sound. You do not need to visit the checkpoints in any specific order. Choose your own route and complete the challenge in the way that works best for you.

The Fig Quest is designed to be beginner—family-friendly, educational, and engaging for all ages.
